Why we need to love every version of ourselves.
This year I got some pro shots done for my website, right before I went in for the most invasive procedure of my life - a shoulder reconstruction. How are the two related I hear you ask... Well, you see while I was in recovery I fell into a bit of a dark place. My workflow dried up (thanks NZ economy), my sleep was next to impossible (try sleeping upright, you'll see what I mean), and with only one arm and no inspiration, the girl that featured in all of these really inspiring pictures felt...

When did we lose connection to our joy?
Over the weekend I went to a couple of dance classes. Nothing fancy - just the ones my gym puts on. You know how it goes, loud music, energetic instructors and a whole lot of uncoordinated souls spinning in opposing directions with admirable intentions. (Me being one of them...) And maybe it's an age thing. Maybe I've just surpassed the "give a damn" threshold because I know the days ahead are now roughly equivalent that of those behind me, but I just want to do more things that make me feel...
